WILDLIFE AND THE LAW

All native birds, their nests, eggs and body parts (feathers) are protected under State and Federal Migratory Bird Protection laws. State and federal permits are required to keep wild birds, nests, body parts, or feathers. Some local municipalities also have ordinances that protect wild birds. If you witness harm, abuse, or destruction of any wild bird or animal, contact your local authorities and the agencies listed below. Or you can submit an Online Abuse Form by clicking here. Pacific Wildlife Project is a fully licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility under state and federal regulations.

If you are in the middle of witnessing wildlife being hurt or killed, you can call 911 to report it.
